LAW Aug 28 Update - Angle Endorses Linda McMahon
To all connecticut residents, as u know linda mcmahon is running for office. I worked with linda on many projects in wwe. Linda was a professional that got things done. I worked with her on "smackdown ur vote" among many other projects. She is smart, bright and a true leader. I am now in tna and it doesn't benefit me to talk about linda or what a great woman she is. I saw with my own eyes. She's honest, sincere and always looked out for what was best to her employees. Linda was the positiveness in wwe. She has the qualities that I would want in a politician. She listens to you, and always does the right thing. If I were living in connecticut, I would vote for her with pride and an eagerness to get the economy, real estate and health reform back on track. Remember, I'm in tna and I don't plan on leaving but I want what is best for this country, and linda mcmahon has that "IT" factor you rarely see in today's leaders. Good luck linda. GOD bless, kurt angle 1996 olympic gold medalist and proud AMERICAN

The Parent Company TrapWyatt Cenac and John Oliver donning respective "Team Evil" and "Team Stupid" t-shirts argue their case for Fox News motives
JON STEWART: ... If we want to cut off funding to the "Terror Mosque", we must together as a nation stop watching Fox. It's the only way.
(applause)
The Daily Show Debates: Is Fox News Evil Or Stupid?
The Daily Show correspondents Wyatt Cenac and John Oliver debated last night whether Fox News' Fox and Friends was being evil or stupid when they didn't reveal the connection between Fox News and the funder of the Cordoba House Islamic center near Ground Zero...
Oliver defended Fox News as stupid: "Things are hectic on the morning show. Plus Gretchen [Carlson] wasn't there and she's the only one who knows how to use Google."
Cenac argued that they were evil, since they avoided showing pictures of Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal because "he already looks like he's about to feed Timothy Dalton to his white tiger."

'Culture Warrior' Bill O'Reilly takes on Jennifer Aniston, Justin Bieber and Kim Kardashian
VIDEO: Bill O'Reilly - Jennifer Aniston: "Women Don't Need Men"
George Stephanopoulos Ignores Attack by Jennifer Aniston That O'Reilly 'Insulted' Single Mothers
BILL O'REILLY: I want to be fair about this, because there have -- there are many -- there are millions of single mothers who do a great job raising their kids.
MARGARET HOOVER: Do a great job.
O'REILLY: And they're abandoned and they're all kinds -- and they do. It's possible. But it's not optimum, and that's where Ms. Aniston makes her mistake. That she's throwing a message out to 12-year-olds and 13-year-olds, OK, that, hey, you don't need a guy. You don't need a Dad. Dad, ah, you know. That's destructive to our society.
...
O'REILLY: Aniston can hire a battery of people to help her, but she cannot hire a dad. OK? And Dads bring a psychology to children that is, in this society, I believe, under emphasized. I think men get hosed all day long in the parental arena.
VIDEO: Bill O'Reilly - Justin Bieber & Kim Kardashian
BILL O'REILLY: Now this is a magazine spread that's reminiscent of 'The Graduate' where Anne Bancroft and a young Dustin Hoffman at the time, they had this little thing. Alright.
I don't care about this, Justin Bieber he looks like Ringo Starr to me. I don't know the other one. She's in the water with a dress. What does that mean? I don't know...
Does this bother you at all?... do you care about this. Does it mean anything... Who took offence, did you take offence?...

Politics is wrestling, Quote roundup: Ann Coulter, Jon Stewart, Mick Foley, Marc Ambinder, Matt Lewis, Wyatt Cenac, Mick Foley
Believers in the 'Politics is Wrestling' meme |
1) Jim Cornette, Pro-wrestler manager and promoter
Wrestling legend Jim Cornette rants on the right wing2) Matt Lewis, Political writer, blogger and commentator
JIM CORNETTE: Maybe [wrestling commentator, Joey] Styles is like Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity or all these people I listen to that are -- You know that -- they're too smart to believe the sh!t that they say. They're heels cutting promos and its obvious and they're doing it for the marks who are dumb enough to believe it and they get paid big money to do it.
TownHall's Matt Lewis: "Arlen Specter as Hulk Hogan"3) Jon Stewart, Television host and Political media critic
MATT LEWIS: From a conservative perspective, at least, the Specter story was a classic archetype that has been re-played throughout human history -- and retold in the Bible (Judas), American history (Benedict Arnold) movies (Anakin Skywalker) ... and even in the less sophisticated world of ... professional wrestling!
William 'Bill' Kristol - Top wrestling heel (villain)4) Marc Ambinder, politics editor of 'The Atlantic'
JON STEWART:... Boy the audience, I don't know when they started thinking this was pro-wrestling. It's the strangest thing -- they literally boo and hiss and cheer like you're the Rock and I'm - you know - The Undertaker.
Marc Ambinder: Wrestling with Politics5) Marc Maron, comedian and radio host
MARC AMBINDER: When staged correctly, both [politics and pro wrestling] can be mesmerizing... Both professions tend to divide people into good and evil... Politics is exhausting... Both politicians and wrestlers are very hearty, and the fans appreciate when each performs effectively.
Marc Maron's WTF podcast Ep 23: Wyatt Cenac talks pundits and professional wrestling6) Don Callis, former professional wrestler
MARC MARON: Like you said before, it really is all professional wrestling. The sad thing is, people are really struggling for a lot of different reasons... and they don't really know what to do with those frustrations. So when you've got these ideologues or these pundits... who are driving media culture leading them in a direction. They just want some temporary relief or some satisfaction and they are so easily misguided in times that are desperate...
Politics is wrestling - the 2004 edition7) Ann Coulter, Conservative social and political commentator
DON CALLIS: Witness the verbiage from the front-runner, Senator John Kerry: "I have a message for George Bush: we're coming, you're going, and don't let the door hit you on the way out!" Now come on, if I fed you that line and asked if it came from a wrestling show or the potential next leader of the free world, what would you say?
Ann Coulter: "Political discourse resembles professional wrestling"8) Mick Foley, professional wrestler
ANN COULTER: Political "debate" in this country is insufferable. Whether conducted in Congress, on the political talk shows, or played out at dinners and cocktail parties, politics is a nasty sport...
Instead of actual debate about ideas and issues with real consequences, the country is trapped in a political discourse that increasingly resembles professional wrestling.
Mick Foley - Politics is just like wrestling9) Wyatt Cenac, Comedian, Actor and writer
MICK FOLEY: This current mess I believe honestly, and I’ve told Stone Cold this, somewhere around 1998 then-Governor George Bush was watching Raw, and let’s face it, you know he watches the show. He took a look at Stone Cold Steve Austin and said, "That’s who I’m going to be." Because that’s when the swagger came around and it’s my feeling that if Vince hadn’t copyrighted Texas Rattlesnake, Bush would be calling himself that now.
Jon Stewart, Wyatt Cenac and Mick Foley endorse the analogy that American Politics is like pro-wrestling
WYATT CENAC: Jon here's your problem. You think politicians wanna win their arguments when all they really wanna do is keep having them. They know arguments are interesting, they energize voters, they keep the money flowing in.
JON STEWART: You're telling me their interest is in conflict, not in resolution?
WYATT CENAC: Yes. Jon do you watch professional wrestling?

Chael Sonnen backs up his bluster with dominating performance over Anderson Silva at UFC 117...
UFC's one man promo machine, Chael Sonnen carried out what he said he was going to do by completely manhandling Middleweight champion Anderson Silva at UFC 117. Despite a dominating 23 minute performance in the first 4.5 Rounds, Sonnen was skillfully submitted by Silva in the closing 2 minutes of the Fight.
True to Sonnen's form, he was humble in defeat but did not shy away from the audacious swagger that delighted crowds in the lead up to fight.
Its evident in the clips that Sonnen has the Gift of the Gab. An asset that has already served him in elevating his status in the UFC and will help in any future political campaigns if he ever chooses to resume his political endeavours. But in Politics as in Fighting, there is a difference between talking the talk and walking the walk and even when one manages both they still may come up short.

AllahPundit equates the Anthony Weiner/ Peter King debate on the Hannity program to pro-wrestling
AllahPundit of HotAir.com uses the pro-wrestling analogy to describe Sean Hannity's conversation with congressman Anthony Weiner
Audio: Hannity and Anthony Weiner scream at each other for 10 minutes
Via the Right Scoop, behold the hallmark of a summer Friday news day: Until just a few minutes ago, Weiner’s dopey House floor freakout was top of the pops this afternoon on Memeorandum. Since it’s officially, albeit momentarily, now one of the Hottest Stories In The Blogosphere, here’s a follow-up to the Fox News meltdown I posted earlier. Skip ahead to 2:00 or so and then again to the last few minutes of the clip for the best parts. Think of this as the political equivalent of pro wrestling: If the Weiner/King dust-up is the main event, the Weiner/Hannity face-off is the part where a rival runs down the aisle and into the ring and starts hitting someone with a chair. In other words, it’s fantastic.
