It seems as though broadcast news has a new whipping boy, CNN's Rick Sanchez. Sanchez is lampooned as he embodies the caricature of the 'empty headed Anchorman'. Former #1 target Glenn Beck is one of Sanchez's enthusiastic critics. Beck like Sanchez was mocked for his over the top antics and bufoonery, for Beck however most of the slings came because detractors felt threatened by his raging popularity and influence. Unfortunately Sanchez cannot make the same claim, some are arguing he may just be a real life Ron Burgundy.
